Halloween will be on a Wednesday this year and that can be a challenge for kids and parents who have to work the next day and go to school. If you’re looking for an alternative to walking the neighborhood that will get you home at a decent hour, while still maximizing your candy haul, consider attending one of our area’s local trunk-or-treating events!
If you’ve never been trunk-or-treating, it’s quite an experience! Community members get together in a parking lot, often of a school or church, and decorate the trunks of their parked cars in Halloween fashion. Kids then get to go “trunk-or-treating” to collect candy, play games, and have a good time. It’s fun for adults and kids alike, and with a set event schedule, it will get the family home at a decent hour so you all can enjoy your treats, and maybe a scary movie, before bedtime.

Bring your li’l ghouls and goblins over to Hilltop’s old KeyBank building on Halloween night (6-8PM) for Tacoma Community House‘s Trunk-or-Treat! This spooktastic event is FREE for children and their families and will have lots of fun costumes, car decorations, and CANDY!
